When I wake up from this dream
Who will be there?
When I finally find the words
Who will call?
When I fill my time inside a machine
Will I find it at all?
When I wake up from this dream
Who will know me?
Will I know then
What to do with all this shame?
So light a candle for the years anyway
But I can’t feel the days.
(Pass anymore)
See me in the light beside the bed I was born.
Air through my ventricles.
A mistake or a miracle.
And honest I’ll be fine if it were true either way.
If I could just feel the days.
Casa Nova’s looking good and now she’s famous.
She’s got that carelessness that only looks can buy
And in a room filled with vague accolades,
She can’t feel the days.
This is what I remember emo and pop punk music *sounding* like in the 90s and 2000s, but not what it actually sounded like. basking in the glow is an emotionally mature update of those times, and much appreciated. thepirc
The verse "Can't even buy a coffee without exploiting someone" got me. It really hits hard. For the entire length of the album it felt like the end of the world.
But to be perfectly honest, it's just how life is these days. And it's fucked up. szczur
If you've ever had to Google clumsy phrases to find a word that matched a feeling you could only feebly describe, and you ended up discovering words like hiraeth, sehnsucht, or saudade, The Million Masks of God may be an excellent companion soundtrack to your experience. joel
I got to listen to some of these songs live during Origami Angel's tour in 2022, which was a really cool experience. I loved them enough to buy a CD!!! KZDEX
